1. What ScopeToSign is

ScopeToSign is estimating and proposal software for trade contractors. You build an estimate from your own price book, turn it into a Good/Better/Best proposal, send it to your customer, and collect a signature and (optionally) a deposit. ScopeToSign does not set your prices — you do. The prices in a proposal are your prices from your price book.

2. Your account

You sign in with a magic link or Google — there is no password to lose. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in email secure. You must be a business or an adult using ScopeToSign for your business. One person or company per account.

3. Plans and what a “send” means

The Free plan lets you build unlimited estimates and send up to three proposals over the life of the account; sent proposals carry a small “Powered by ScopeToSign” footer. The Pro plan ($49/month or $490/year) removes the send limit and the footer and unlocks deposit collection when that feature is enabled. A “send” is counted the first time you send a given proposal to a customer. No credit card is required to sign up. Prices are in US dollars.

4. Payments

Your subscription is billed through Stripe. When you collect a deposit from your customer, that payment goes directly to your own connected Stripe account — ScopeToSign never holds your customers’ money. ScopeToSign may charge a small platform fee on deposits, shown before you turn the feature on. Refunds of your subscription follow the cancellation terms below; refunds to your customers are between you and them.

5. You own your customer relationship

Your customers are yours. Your price book, estimates, and client list are your data — you can export them as JSON or CSV any time from Settings. ScopeToSign does not contact your customers except to deliver the proposal and confirmation emails you initiate.

6. Signatures and records

When your customer accepts a proposal, ScopeToSign records an evidence-grade acceptance record: the exact version they saw, the option and total they chose, their typed or drawn signature, the date, and technical details of the session. These records are kept unchanged so you have proof of what was agreed. ScopeToSign does not provide legal advice about whether a given signature is enforceable in your jurisdiction — that depends on your local law.

7. AI-assisted drafting

ScopeToSign uses AI to help turn photos, voice notes, and descriptions into a starting estimate and to review your estimate for commonly-forgotten items. The AI never sets a price and never sends anything on its own. Every draft is yours to review, edit, and approve before it goes to a customer. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you send.

8. Acceptable use

Don’t use ScopeToSign to send deceptive, unlawful, or abusive content, to impersonate someone else, or to attack the service. We may suspend an account that does. Your customers can report an abusive proposal through the link in the proposal footer.

9. Availability and the honest limits

We work hard to keep ScopeToSign fast and available, but we provide it “as is” without a guarantee that it will always be error-free or uninterrupted. ScopeToSign is a tool that helps you prepare quotes and proposals; it is not a guarantee of any pricing outcome, and the numbers in a proposal are the ones you configured. To the extent the law allows, ScopeToSign’s liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the prior twelve months.

10. Cancellation

You can cancel anytime from Settings; you keep Pro features until the end of the period you paid for. You can export your data before or after cancelling. We may end an account for a serious or repeated breach of these terms, with notice where practical.

11. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; we’ll note the date at the top and, for material changes, tell you in the app. These terms are governed by the laws of [STATE — FOUNDER], without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions? Reach us through the contact link on our site.
